The South Asian Centre for Teacher Development (SACTD) is a UNESCO Category 2 Centre located in Meepe, Sri Lanka, dedicated to transforming teacher education across South Asia. Established through the partnership between UNESCO and the Government of Sri Lanka, SACTD contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 by promoting inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education.

The South Asian Centre for Teacher Development (SACTD) works in collaboration with eight member countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
